"Young Heretics is the brainchild of Melbourne based duo, Kitty Hart and Matthew Wright (who left former band The Getaway Plan to pursue a full time role in YH), both with a love of warped pop music and sonic invention. The dual vocal attack incorporates theatrical soundscapes, driving beats and a massive selection of other instruments to create a dynamic and inventive sound that is sure to send shivers down your spine."

"Having written together for over 15 years, the musical chemistry between the two is evident throughout every aspect of their sound. Creatively and professionally beyond their years, the few shows they have performed have caused a huge stir amongst punters and industry alike."

"Previously known as The Rabbit and the wolf, Young Heretics have been well received by critics after the release of their EP entitled ‘The Dreamers E.P’ on August 31st. The pair are spending some time recording their debut album ,’We Are The Lost Loves’, which is due out in early 2010."

When at Coaster on the 12th of September, I saw Young Heretics play their show. Being an incredibly faithful The Getaway Plan fan, i expected the worst and decided to boycott Young Heretics before hearing any of their music. But I was very curious after reading such good reviews about them and decided to visit the stage they were playing at.

After much snarling and disgusted glances at the duo setting up, they began to play their set. Around half a minute into their first song, I was utterly amazed by the amazing sound coming from the speakers. My opinion of Young Heretics has been dramatically changed from that day on. Their grace and charisma is inspiring. Kitty Hart's voice and deep, intimate expressions keep you entranced. Even if you wanted to look away, you can't help but gaze in awe at her dramatic, elegant moves. Matthew keeps a calm yet deeply concentrated composure while playing the guitar or keyboard. You can tell these two are incredibly passionate about the music they're playing.

Kitty Hart has one of the most magnificent voices I have ever heard, it's so soft yet dramatic and hypnotising, pulling you in. Matthew too, has an incredible voice which adds so much depth and passion. The melody and beats in every single one of their songs is so entrancing and fits in with their heavenly voices like a jigsaw puzzle. Not to mention the incredibly deep, wonderful lyrics.
Not only are they a magnificent band, but the couple have amazing style and great personalities. Kitty has a wonderful bubbly charisma, you can't help but love her.
Matthew has a very kind way about him and leaves you feeling dazed.
Young Heretics are the band of 2010.
